Top Model Bianca's Combative Side Revisited..
Everyone knows by now the drama that unfolded with Top Model Bianca (Cycle 9) and "Hairspray " actress Nikki Blonsky. I got to speak to Natasha earlier, and I have to be honest, I had been dreading this very interview. I was terrified of the possible language barrier with her, but come to find out, I was all anxious for nothing. She was easy to talk to and she understood everything just fine. She's just a sweet girl with a really soft voice. I had the chance to speak to Jael earlier, and she was just as endearing off the show as she was on. She's really humble, but at the same time, she's no pushover. She's tough but sweet. You know, kind of like those hard candies with the soft centers... okay, enough of my metaphors. I spoke with Whitney earlier and she had a lot to say. I really appreciate strong talkers in interviews because it makes it easier on me, but at the same time, it's a lot to type, lol! But Whitney struck me as a strong woman who knows who she is and what she wants out of life. And she's also someone who's not afraid to go after what she wants. I like that about her. It's a rare quality, courage. People could get so much further (myself included) if they would stop letting fear paralyze them from moving forward. Wow! That was good right? I could totally be a motivational speaker! I spoke with Sarah on yesterday, and we talked about her photography a bit, but she also threw a couple curve balls during the interview. Like she's really into music. I spoke with Diana earlier and surprisingly, she was a talker. "Top Model" didn't really show her "engaged" much. The show made her seem very quiet, but she wasn't in her interview, and it was nice... makes my job a lot easier. Well Cassandra was eliminated last night, and that was a bit of a bummer, but at least she got her wig upgraded before she was given the boot. See, that's called focusing on the positive. But still, it was a little sad to see her go. I think the rest of the girls took her departure pretty hard as well. I'll be talking to her later to find out exactly what she thinks went wrong. Anyways, the makeovers took place last night and I was all excited! But after everything was done and over, the only makeover I was really feeling was Dionne's. The rest of 'em were just... meh. But I'll tell you who gained major points with me after last nights episode, and that was Whitney! Not because of anything she did in any of the challenges, but because of her compassion toward Jael after Jael found out that her friend overdosed. Whitney prayed with her. On television. Unashamed. What a powerful moment in primetime T.V. Kudos, and Brava! To the CW Network for not cutting that scene. Real talk right there. Ok now, on to the makeovers...Cycle 8 Top Model Makeovers!

My Interview with Samantha..
I got to speak with Samantha, the 2nd eliminee from Top Model, Cycle 8, and let me tell you... Top Model knew exactly what they were doing (for their show) when they eliminated Samantha. She was as quiet as a flippin' church mouse! You never saw her get in anybody's face, she never so much as even raised her voice on the show. She really kind of faded into the background, and you and I both know, reality TV is all about the DRAMA. Because DRAMA=RATINGS, period.
Super High "Fierce" Quotient..
If there's anything that Jennifer Hudson has taught me, it's the fact that you don't have to win the big prize to make it all the way to the TOP. "Real" talk. I mean, just look at Nik and Bre from "America's Next Top Model Cycle 5". They didn't win, but look at 'em shining.. all classy and stuff on the super exclusive red carpet for the prestigious event that is BET's "Rip The Runway" 2007. I finally got to talk to Kathleen, America's Next Top Model, Cycle 8's first eliminee. I liked her. I really wanted her to go further, but oh well... such is life I guess. She spoke to me about not having any regrets, who she'd like to see take it all the way, and gave me a hot tip on a happening vintage/thrift store in Brooklyn where she lives!
